Banking & Capital Markets Tax Manager

About the role

PwC is seeking a Banking & Capital Markets Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and advisory work for clients in the banking and capital markets sector. You will guide clients through complex tax regulations, optimise their tax positions and ensure full compliance while mentoring a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance workstreams and manage client expectations.
• Guide teams in strategic planning and execution of tax‑related initiatives.
• Review and analyse financial data to prepare and file accurate tax returns.
• Develop corporate tax planning strategies and mitigate non‑compliance risks.
• Promote innovative technologies and best practices across tax services.
• Validate adherence to professional and technical standards within tax frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to optimise tax positions and improve business performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant tax experience.
• Professional credential such as CPA, Bar membership, or equivalent tax/finance qualification.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance and coach junior staff.
• Strong communication skills and capacity to handle difficult client conversations.
