Bank Teller – Customer Service & Transactions

About the role

As a Bank Teller for Austin Bank, you will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering superior service while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will handle cash, deposits, withdrawals, and a range of banking transactions in a fast‑paced branch environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process night depository, ATM, and mail‑in deposits, verifying amounts and endorsements.
• Cash checks after verifying signatures and balances, and place holds when required.
• Prepare and submit Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports in line with BSA and CIP regulations.
• Maintain the teller cash drawer within required limits and balance it daily.
• Sell and explain bank products such as cashier’s checks, loan payments, and cash advances.
• Handle stop payments, wire transfers, and debit‑card dispute documentation.
• Answer telephone calls, manage mail, and keep the work area organized and stocked.
• Cross‑train in other branch functions and uphold confidentiality at all times.
