Bakery Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a Bakery Clerk to join our bakery team at Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, Texas. You will be responsible for packaging, labeling, pricing, and maintaining the quality of bakery products while providing friendly service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Package, label and price bakery items, ensuring accurate pricing and clear labeling.
• Stock, rotate and monitor baked goods to meet food safety and quality standards.
• Assist bakery staff with product preparation, display setup and suggestive selling.
• Stack pallets and organize products according to company efficiency guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work and shopping environment.
• Greet customers, answer questions and take orders both in person and by phone.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to safety, able to identify hazards and take corrective action.
• Team‑oriented attitude with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Operation of digital equipment, meters, dials and calibrated scales.
• Safe use of bakery equipment such as bread slicers and commercial ovens.
• Use of precision and non‑precision hand tools.
