Bacterin Production Technician

About the role

The Bacterin Production Technician supports the manufacturing of autogenous and USDA‑licensed bacterial vaccines. Working in a laboratory environment, the technician applies basic scientific knowledge and strict sterile techniques to meet production outlines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Propagate bacterial seed cultures according to the Outline of Production under supervision of the Bacterial Production Supervisor and Scientist.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, cold‑storage units, temperature and cleaning logs, and ensure all equipment is calibrated and ready for use.
• Prepare sterile reagents, adhering to sterile technique and maintaining a clean work area.
• Assist with blend preparation and bacterial vaccine blending processes as required.
• Sterilize and organize the laboratory, ensuring supplies, facilities, and equipment are ready for production.
• Track inventory levels, request supplies through proper channels, and keep workstations stocked.

Required profile

• Basic laboratory knowledge.
• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
