Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to own and evolve our end‑to‑end backend systems, including the SvelteKit application, data layer (Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse), Python ML inference services, and Kubernetes infrastructure across multiple cloud and GPU providers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services in TypeScript (SvelteKit) and Python.
• Manage data storage and processing using PostgreSQL (AWS Aurora), Redis, and ClickHouse.
• Develop and operate Kubernetes clusters, Docker containers, and FluxCD pipelines in production.
• Build durable execution for long‑running ML workflows, including state machines, idempotency, and retry mechanisms.
• Improve and document the public API with OpenAPI specifications generated from Zod schemas.
• Implement enterprise features such as ACLs, audit logs, and entitlement management.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience owning production systems end‑to‑end (design, monitoring, incident response).
• Strong first‑principles engineering mindset; comfortable across the stack and with unfamiliar code.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work with minimal product‑management hand‑holding.
• Bonus: experience with GPU infrastructure, Kubernetes in production, or a creative background.
