Backend Engineer – Ambient AI

About the role

Commure is building an AI Operating System for healthcare. As a Backend Engineer on the Ambient AI team you will help create AI‑driven solutions that span real‑time clinical documentation, billing automation and a clinical intelligence platform.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the most advanced healthcare platform in the country.
• Scale and maintain infrastructure supporting large health systems.
• Develop backend services using Python and frameworks such as Flask, Django and FastAPI.
• Collaborate with a fast‑paced team that values rapid execution and full ownership.
• Work directly with customers to resolve issues and improve the product.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend programming.
• Ability to ship quickly in a high‑velocity environment.
• Understanding of containerization and cloud orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Passion for high‑impact work in healthcare and a builder attitude.
