Back-End Engineer – Cloud SaaS Platform

About the role

LotusFlare is seeking a Back-End Engineer to help evolve its Digital Network Operator® Cloud platform. You will work on highly available, distributed systems that serve millions of API calls for global telecommunications providers and eSIM travel services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable backend services.
• Handle high‑volume API traffic and ensure system reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and production monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with product, front‑end, and other engineering teams.
• Own the full software lifecycle from implementation to deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proven backend engineering experience.
• Experience building secure, scalable web services and distributed systems.

Required skills

• Node.js, Lua, Scala (or Java, Python, Golang, C++).
• RESTful API development.
• Understanding of network stack and HTTP protocol.
• Concurrency, multithreading, or asynchronous programming.
• Data modeling in SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AWS, Redis, Kafka, and Cassandra (a plus).
