AWS AI Engineer (USC/GC Candidates Only)

About the role

The company is seeking a senior AWS AI Engineer to design, build, and operate retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems and fine‑tuned large language models on AWS. This is a hands‑on, production‑focused position that requires real‑world experience delivering AI/ML services at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AWS‑native microservices (Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, Bedrock, SageMaker) that power intelligent automation and real‑time data processing.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, including policy‑as‑code (Sentinel) and AWS organization guardrails (SCP, Config).
• Design, fine‑tune, and deploy large language models, building datasets and RAG pipelines with LangChain, Transformers, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
• Own the full software release lifecycle: CI/CD pipelines, Git‑based version control, and production monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, primarily in Python.
• Proven hands‑on experience building AI/ML applications on AWS, especially with Bedrock or SageMaker.
• Strong background in Terraform and AWS governance (SCP, Config).
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Machine‑learning frameworks: Transformers, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Terraform Sentinel.

• Programming languages: Python, Node.js, Golang (optional).
