Avionics Technician

About the role

West Star is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician to join its fast‑growing team in Las Vegas. You will troubleshoot, repair, and verify avionics components and aircraft systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate avionics systems such as navigation, communications, radar, audio, and autopilot.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components as designated.
• Verify aircraft movement and system performance.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
• Collaborate with customers on project management, pricing, and support.
• Work independently on assigned projects.
• Communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.
• Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics or avionics factory training preferred.
• 1+ years experience in avionics repair or installation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (airline‑travel approved) or passport is ideal but not mandatory.
• Self‑motivated team player able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
