Aviation Planning Project Manager

About the role

Woolpert is seeking an Aviation Planning Project Manager to join its national Aviation team on a remote basis. The role focuses on delivering master plans, airport layout plans, site and facility plans, and supporting emerging Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) initiatives for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on innovative aviation technologies, AAM policies, and implementation strategies.
• Lead the development of airport master plans, layout plans, and airspace integration studies.
• Collaborate with the National Aviation Services Operations team and other consultants to secure and execute projects.
• Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and nurturing client relationships.
• Maintain expertise in emerging aviation technologies and regulations, and represent Woolpert at conferences and in industry publications.
• Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, client satisfaction, financial performance, and team well‑being.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation planning, including master plans, airport layout, and site/facility design.
• Familiarity with Advanced Air Mobility concepts and related regulatory frameworks.
• Strong client‑facing skills with a track record of building profitable relationships.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.
