Aviation Maintenance Adjunct Instructor (Part‑Time)

About the role

Join the State of Georgia as a part‑time Aviation Maintenance Adjunct Instructor, teaching General, Airframe, and Powerplant courses at the new Aviation Academy Campus located at Paulding County Airport.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction for all Aviation Maintenance curriculum components, including General, Airframe, and Powerplant.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, EPA rules, and OSHA safety standards in labs and hangars.
• Develop and implement engaging instructional delivery for face‑to‑face, online, and laboratory settings.
• Oversee safety practices and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Adapt work hours to align with night classes as needed.

Required profile

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• Associate degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance or a related field (preferred).
• Experience as an aviation maintenance technician (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to teach aviation maintenance topics and conduct program assessments.
• FAA Inspection Authorization (preferred).
