AV Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking a trustworthy, hands‑on AV Service Technician to service high‑end residential home‑theater, networking, control, lighting, shading and security systems in the North Salt Lake area. The role involves field work, interpreting technical documents and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Service residential A/V, home theater, network, control, lighting, shading, and security systems.
• Read and interpret floor plans and technical documents.
• Understand wiring and signal flow and troubleshoot systems such as Crestron, Savant, Control4, Josh.Ai, and Lutron QSX.
• Perform advanced networking troubleshooting and device diagnostics.
• Program control systems and train clients on system use.
• Recommend upgrades and provide excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Trustworthy, eager to learn and grow, with a hands‑on field‑oriented mindset.
• Steady work history (minimum three years) and a pleasant disposition with high emotional intelligence.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power and hand tools, and lift up to 50 lb.

• Crestron, Savant, Control4 (C4), Josh.Ai, Lutron QSX systems.
• Networking and low‑voltage cable pulling.
• AV installation and security system installation.
• Control system programming.
