Automotive Technician – BMW Service Center

About the role

BMW of Tyler is seeking a full‑time Automotive Technician to join its service department in Tyler, Texas. The technician will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on new and pre‑owned BMW vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and delivering a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on BMW automobiles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using specialized diagnostic tools.
• Document all service work accurately and maintain service records.
• Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven ability to perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Experience with maintenance, repairs and preventive services on automobiles.
• Capability to operate specialized diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organized record‑keeping.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• ASE certification or equivalent automotive certifications preferred.
• Prior experience with BMW or other luxury vehicles is a plus.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training and certification programs.
