Automotive Service Manager

About the role

Classic Hyundai of Hampton is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead its service department. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and driving efficient workflow within a fast‑paced dealership environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise service department staff, including technicians and service advisors.
• Coordinate service schedules, distribute work, and prioritize tasks to maximize productivity.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase service revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding service status and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
• Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve performance targets.
• Oversee inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies.
• Handle hiring, interviewing, and onboarding of new technicians and advisors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in automotive service management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license.
