Automotive Service General Manager (Store Manager)

About the role

Monro is seeking a Store Manager with a strong background in automotive service and tire operations to lead a high-volume store in the Atlanta area. This is not an entry-level management position: only candidates with a demonstrated history of success in service and tire shops will be considered. The role provides daily leadership to General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists and the Assistant Store Manager, reporting to the District Manager. It is a salaried position.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and develop sales and technical teammates to deliver a consistent 5-star guest experience
• Help develop and implement sales plans, introduce tire and service products to guests and recommend promotions
• Manage recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation and performance of teammates
• Control expenses (payroll, utilities, maintenance, supplies) and manage inventory, including pulling tires and parts
• Audit courtesy inspections, schedule guest appointments and assign work by skill level
• Maintain the store to Monro standards and keep equipment safe and in good working order
• Resolve customer complaints and build guest relationships
• Follow company policies, environmental and OSHA standards, and complete required Monro University training

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven track record of success in the same industry and leadership experience in a retail/sales environment
• Ability to manage and deliver financial results while controlling costs
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory MVR and ability to operate customers' vehicles for test drives
• Pass a criminal background check
• Willingness to work flexible hours, days, evenings, weekends and holidays, and to lift up to 50 lbs
