Automotive Mechanic/Technician

About the role

Monro, a family of automotive service and tire dealer brands, is hiring an Automotive Mechanic/Technician in its District 207 location in Oviedo. The role covers the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of guest vehicles and starts with a comprehensive technician training program on day one. Pay is $18.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications, and the position is eligible for additional compensation and incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and other automotive repairs within your qualification
• Obtain guest approval after diagnosing the problem and keep the work area clean and neat
• Inspect every vehicle thoroughly and carry out the required repairs and maintenance
• Test drive guest vehicles and use the shop truck safely to pick up inventory
• Collaborate with teammates and provide leadership to General Service Technicians

Required profile

• At least 2 years of automotive technician experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs
• Guest and team focused mindset
• State Inspector's license where applicable

Required skills

• Basic set of automotive tools, or participation in a tool purchase program
• ASE certification in at least one of A1-A8 preferred
• Automotive technical school certificate or degree preferred
