Automotive-EV Technology Instructor

About the role

The Automotive-EV Technology Instructor will join West Georgia Technical College’s Automotive Technology program, delivering both traditional automotive and electric‑vehicle coursework to day, evening, and online students. This full‑time position supports traditional, dual‑enrolled, and online learners on the LaGrange campus.

Key responsibilities

• Teach classroom, lab, and field courses in Automotive Technology and Electric Vehicle topics.
• Develop and deliver curriculum that meets state academic standards and industry best practices.
• Evaluate student performance, grade assignments, and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain up‑to‑date equipment and technology in labs to simulate real‑world automotive environments.
• Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and industry partners to enhance program quality.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Automotive Technology, Electric Vehicles, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three (3) years of hands‑on automotive experience, including work with electric vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Master ASE certification and xEV Level 1/2 certificates (or ability to obtain within one year of hire).
