Automation Technology & Mechatronics Instructor (Hall/Barrow Campus)

About the role

Lanier Technical College is seeking a full‑time Automation Technology/Mechatronics Instructor for its Hall and Barrow County campuses. The instructor will deliver accredited technology courses, develop curriculum, and support student success in advanced manufacturing and related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Prepare lesson plans, syllabi, and classroom materials for credited technology courses.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain documentation and administrative reports.
• Request and manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Maintain program certification requirements and ensure safety in training areas.
• Participate in staff development, workshops, and industry advisory committee meetings.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
• Collaborate with local advisory committees to identify equipment for advanced manufacturing and AI training.

Required profile

• Associate degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial systems technology, mechatronics, or advanced manufacturing from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least three years of relevant work experience in industrial technology or a related field.
