Automation Engineer

About the role

Serval is an AI‑native automation platform that transforms enterprise operations by building intelligent agents that replace manual processes. As an Automation Engineer you will embed Serval’s agents into customer instances, eliminating repetitive tickets and expanding the platform into new use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build automations and AI agents inside customers' Serval instances, handling onboarding, access requests, and service‑desk workflows.
• Integrate Serval with customer systems such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, ServiceNow, and Workday to enable end‑to‑end automation.
• Run working sessions with IT, HR, Finance, and Legal teams to extract real processes and turn them into buildable automations the same day.
• Create reusable patterns from your builds and train customer teams to extend them, ensuring adoption compounds after you leave.
• Partner with Deployment Strategists to meet customer milestones and surface risks early when use cases deviate.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 2+ years in a relevant role such as IT/service operations, professional services, solutions engineering, business systems, or technical support.
• Working knowledge of APIs, REST, JSON, and IAM concepts including SSO, SCIM, and provisioning.
• Strong communication skills to run working sessions, challenge requirements, and translate technical trade‑offs for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar software quickly and work independently across multiple customer accounts.
