About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice as an Audit Japanese Business Network Intern for the Summer 2028 term. You will support audit teams delivering financial statement audits for Japanese‑owned clients, gaining hands‑on experience with PwC’s methodologies and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits for Japanese business clients.
• Review and verify financial documents for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS during audit procedures and document findings.
• Perform data analysis to identify financial trends and support risk assessment.
• Contribute to the preparation of audit workpapers and client reports.
• Collaborate with team members to address audit issues and internal control matters.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Business‑level fluency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before full‑time start.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Technical accounting skills for audit documentation.
• Data analysis and interpretation abilities.
