About the role

Join PwC's Assurance practice as an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term in Washington DC. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply PwC’s methodologies in real client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and applying auditing methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit processes and findings in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and evaluate internal controls.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors to build foundational audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.
