About the role

As an Audit Intern in PwC’s Assurance practice, you will join a dynamic team in Tampa for the Winter 2028 term. The role offers hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits, allowing you to observe and support the full audit lifecycle while building a foundation for a future CPA qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess internal controls and risk factors.
• Utilize basic data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data‑analysis abilities.
