About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice as an Audit Intern in Silicon Valley for the Winter 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply professional methodologies in a real‑world setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and applying audit methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit processes and findings to maintain organized records.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and internal controls.
• Utilize data analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors to develop foundational audit skills.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state before starting full‑time.
• Typically a third‑year student in a four‑year program or fourth‑year in a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Data analysis abilities.
