Audit Internship – Winter 2028 – Raleigh

About the role

As an Audit Intern in PwC’s Assurance practice in Raleigh, you will join a dynamic team that conducts financial statement audits for a variety of clients. The winter 2028 internship offers hands‑on exposure to audit methodology, regulatory compliance and the opportunity to develop a solid foundation for a future CPA career.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
• Assist in analysing financial data, identifying trends and preparing insights for decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings and maintain organized workpapers.
• Contribute to the evaluation of internal controls and risk assessments.
• Utilise data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to a full‑time role.
• Strong academic background and interest in audit and assurance.
