About the role

Join PwC's Assurance practice in Phoenix as an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply regulatory standards while supporting client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and insights for client decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers in an organized manner.
• Support the evaluation of internal controls and suggest improvement areas.
• Apply data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality and reporting.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state before transitioning to a full‑time role.
• Strong academic foundation and a willingness to learn in a professional environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Data analysis abilities applied to audit tasks.
