About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Detroit as an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply professional methodologies in a real‑world setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit procedures and findings in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and internal controls.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors during client engagements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time at PwC.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Understanding of GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards).
• Data analysis abilities.
