About the role

As an Audit Intern in PwC’s Assurance practice, you will join a dynamic team in Chicago during the Winter 2028 term. The role offers hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits, allowing you to observe and contribute to the audit process while developing a solid foundation for a future CPA qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions in organized workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to audit tasks.
• Support the evaluation of internal controls and risk assessments.
• Utilize data analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Learn from experienced auditors and contribute to client engagements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Enthusiasm for learning, asking questions, and taking initiative.
