Audit Internship – Winter 2028 – Atlanta

About the role

As an Audit Intern in PwC’s Assurance practice in Atlanta, you will join a dynamic team that conducts financial statement audits for a variety of clients. The winter 2028 internship provides hands‑on exposure to audit methodology, regulatory compliance and the preparation of audit documentation, while supporting your goal of becoming a CPA.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify client financial documents to ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends and help prepare audit findings.
• Document audit procedures, workpapers and conclusions in an organized manner.
• Support the evaluation of internal controls and risk assessments.
• Apply data‑analysis techniques to improve audit efficiency.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the state of intended employment before full‑time hire.
• Typically a third‑year student in a four‑year program or fourth‑year student in a five‑year program.
