Audit Internship – Summer 2028 – Tampa

About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Tampa as an Audit Intern for the Summer of 2028. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply PwC’s methodologies in real client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions in organized workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles while evaluating internal controls.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and suggest improvements.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time at PwC.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data‑analysis abilities.
