Audit Internship – Summer 2028 – Path to CPA

About the role

As an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 program, you will join PwC’s Assurance practice, supporting financial statement audits and gaining hands‑on experience with audit methodologies. The role is designed to give you a solid foundation in audit and a clear path toward CPA eligibility.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk and evaluate internal controls.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.

Required profile

• Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.
• Strong interest in audit, assurance, and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
