About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice as an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 term in New York. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply professional methodologies in a real‑world environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analysing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles while performing audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and evaluate internal controls.
• Utilise data‑analysis techniques to enhance the quality of audit work.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors to build foundational audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to a full‑time role.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills
