Audit Internship – Summer 2028 – Milwaukee

About the role

As an Audit Intern in PwC’s Assurance practice, you will spend the summer of 2028 gaining hands‑on experience with financial statement audits for a variety of clients in Milwaukee. The role is designed to introduce you to PwC’s audit methodology, regulatory standards and the day‑to‑day work of professional auditors while supporting your path toward CPA certification.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings and workpapers in an organized manner.
• Contribute to the assessment of internal controls and risk factors.
• Apply data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the state where you will be employed.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.
