About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Irvine as an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 term. You will work in a dynamic learning environment, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and supporting client initiatives while developing a foundation for a future CPA career.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and applying PwC methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights.
• Document audit procedures and findings in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and internal controls.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from experienced auditors to build audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Familiarity with GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards).
• Basic data‑analysis abilities.
