About the role

As an Audit Intern at PwC in Stamford, you will join the Assurance practice for the Summer 2028 term. The role offers hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and a clear pathway toward CPA eligibility, allowing you to observe and contribute to audit engagements while developing a professional brand.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing insights for clients.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess internal controls and risk factors.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Learn from experienced auditors and participate in client interactions.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before full‑time start.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data‑analysis abilities.
