About the role

As an Audit Intern at PwC in Atlanta, you will join the Assurance practice for the Summer 2028 term. The role offers hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits, allowing you to observe and contribute to audit engagements while developing a solid foundation in accounting and auditing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
• Assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing preliminary findings.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers in an organized manner.
• Collaborate with team members to assess internal controls and risk factors.
• Utilize basic data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before full‑time hire.
• Strong academic background and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
