About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice as an Audit Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Montpelier. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply professional methodologies in a real‑world setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and learning auditing methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure transparency and compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision‑making.
• Document audit processes and findings to maintain organized records.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Contribute to the evaluation of internal controls and suggest improvements.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to support audit quality.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors to build foundational audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time at PwC.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data‑analysis abilities.
