About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Irvine as an Audit Intern for the Summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply professional methodologies in a real‑world setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions in organized workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles while evaluating internal controls.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Familiarity with GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards).
• Basic data analysis abilities.
