About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Los Angeles as an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply regulatory standards in real client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and applying PwC methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights.
• Document audit procedures and findings to maintain organized records.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and evaluate internal controls.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors to build foundational audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the state of intended employment before transitioning to full‑time.
• Typically a third‑year student in a four‑year program or fourth‑year student in a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data‑analysis abilities.
