About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Charlotte as an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits while supporting client‑service initiatives and building a foundation for a future CPA career.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and assist decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and work‑papers in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and internal controls.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors to develop professional audit skills.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.
