Audit Intern – Winter 2028 – Denver

About the role

As an Audit Intern in PwC’s Assurance practice in Denver, you will join a dynamic learning environment during the Winter 2028 term. You will gain hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits, learn PwC’s methodologies and develop a solid foundation in audit and accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data and identifying trends for client decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings and maintain organized workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks and contribute to internal‑control evaluations.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data analysis abilities.
