Audit Intern – Winter 2028 – Baltimore

About the role

As an Audit Intern in PwC’s Assurance practice in Baltimore, you will join a dynamic team that delivers independent financial statement audits for a variety of clients. The winter 2028 internship provides hands‑on exposure to audit methodology, regulatory compliance and the opportunity to develop a foundation for a future CPA career.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
• Assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends and preparing insights for decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings and maintain organized workpapers.
• Contribute to the evaluation of internal controls and suggest improvement areas.
• Apply data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
