About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Phoenix as an Audit Intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to support clients in meeting regulatory and reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and internal controls.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.
• Typically a third‑year student in a four‑year program or fourth‑year in a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data‑analysis abilities.
