About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Baltimore as an Audit Intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply professional audit methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions in organized workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles while performing audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess internal controls and risk factors.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from senior auditors during client interactions.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.
• Typically a third‑year student in a four‑year program or fourth‑year student in a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Understanding of GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards).
• Data analysis abilities relevant to audit procedures.
• Familiarity with audit methodologies.
