About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Philadelphia as an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning how to apply regulatory standards in real client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions in organized workpapers.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS while assisting in the evaluation of internal controls.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and suggest improvements.
• Utilize data analysis techniques to enhance audit quality and reporting.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the state of intended employment before transitioning to a full‑time role.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data analysis skills.
