Audit Intern – Summer 2028 – Destination CPA

About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Cleveland as an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning PwC’s methodologies while supporting client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess internal controls and risk factors.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to a full‑time role.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Understanding of GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards).
• Financial data analysis.
