About the role

Join PwC's Assurance practice in Denver as an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 term. You will work alongside experienced auditors, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits and learning the methodologies that help clients maintain transparency and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and applying auditing methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit processes and findings to maintain organized records.
• Learn and apply GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Contribute to evaluating internal controls and identifying improvement areas.
• Utilize data analysis skills to support the audit process.
• Observe and learn from experienced auditors to build foundational audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time at PwC.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Familiarity with GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards).
• Basic data analysis abilities.
