About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice as an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 term. You will gain hands‑on experience in financial statement audits, learn PwC’s methodologies, and develop a solid foundation for a future CPA career.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and applying auditing methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision‑making.
• Document audit processes and findings, maintaining organized records.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Assist in evaluating internal controls and suggesting improvements.
• Utilize data analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from experienced auditors to build foundational audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to full‑time.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Understanding of GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards).
• Data analysis abilities.
