About the role

As an Audit Intern for PwC, you will join the Assurance practice in San Juan for the Summer 2027 term. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in financial statement audits, learn PwC’s methodologies, and support client‑focused audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and applying auditing methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit processes and findings in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Contribute to the evaluation of internal controls and suggest improvements.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from experienced auditors to build foundational audit knowledge.

Required profile

• Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state before starting full‑time at PwC.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Data‑analysis abilities.
