About the role

As an Audit Intern for PwC in Pittsburgh, you will join the Assurance practice for the Summer 2027 term. The position offers a hands‑on learning environment where you will observe and support financial statement audits, gaining insight into audit methodology and client service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and workpapers in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles while evaluating internal controls.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before full‑time start.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data analysis abilities.
