About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance practice in Des Moines as an Audit Intern for the Summer of 2027. You will work in a dynamic learning environment, gaining hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits while supporting client initiatives and developing a solid foundation in audit methodology.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and applying PwC methodologies.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit processes and findings for organized record‑keeping.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Evaluate internal controls and suggest improvement areas.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to enhance audit quality.
• Observe experienced auditors to build a foundational understanding of audit practices.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time at PwC.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.
